MUNDUS POINT OF USE HYGIENE

Firefighters face courageous challenges on a daily basis, be it fires, technical operations or hazardous substance incidents. However, the health of their comrades comes first. It is therefore essential to take appropriate hygiene measures immediately after an operation in order to minimize contamination and health risks.

Our MUNDUS hygiene trailer offers firefighters the opportunity to clean themselves and change their contaminated clothing directly on site. With this innovative approach, we are creating an important protective measure to preserve the health of our heroes in uniform.

Why Job site hygiene?

The statistics are alarming: cancer is the leading cause of death among firefighters, according to a groundbreaking Canadian study from 2018. Certain types of cancer occur three times more frequently in emergency services personnel than in the general population. In order to stop this threatening trend, the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) has developed measures that specifically address the spread of contamination and the associated health risks.

DGUV Information 205-035 "Hygiene and contamination prevention in the fire department" is a groundbreaking catalog of measures. The focus is on a clear message: the safety and health of the emergency services is the responsibility of the municipalities and cities that support the fire departments. This means that suitable equipment, hygiene plans and careful implementation of hygiene measures are essential.

Shelving system with seating

In the white area there is a shelving system with integrated seating that invites you to get dressed in peace.

Toilet accessible from outside

Often not available on site: a toilet. A toilet cubicle is integrated so that you can relieve yourself on site.

Tailgate with removable tarpaulin as a privacy screen

A tailgate with a retractable tarpaulin, which acts as a privacy screen, offers a time-saving and people-saving alternative to erecting an awning.

PSA drop

The contaminated turnout gear can be safely placed in the PPE drop, which can be removed from the outside by an emergency worker in the laundry bag.

Blue light and rear guard

Blue lights and rear protection are essential at the scene of an emergency and contribute to safety on the road.

Outdoor washbasin

All the other crew members also got dirty at the scene and now have the opportunity to wash their hands at the outside washbasin.
